Naarm\/Melbourne post-punk duo HighSchool<\/strong> are stepping into a new era. They\u2019ve announced their long-awaited self-titled debut album, landing October 31 via [PIAS]<\/strong>, alongside the release of their brooding new single Dipped<\/a><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following their earlier single 149<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 which picked up love from The Line of Best Fit<\/em>, BBC Radio 6<\/em>, triple j<\/em>, and beyond \u2014 Dipped<\/em> stretches their sound further, leaning into tension and release. It\u2019s a cold-meets-warm collision: gothic, minor-key verses melting into a euphoric major-key chorus. Lyrically, the track dives into luck, chance, and human weakness, framing addiction and impulse through the lens of Achilles\u2019 Greek tragedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recorded between Lewes, UK<\/strong> and Sing Sing Studios<\/strong> in Melbourne with producer Aaron Dobos<\/strong>, Dipped<\/em> hints at the layered dynamics running through the upcoming record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
