Emerging from somewhere between Manchester and Liverpool, the power-punk melodists drop their latest single\u00a0<strong><em>Fill My Head<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 a four-minute blast of college-radio-ready chaos and hook-laden alt-rock energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helmed by songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist\u00a0<strong>Andrew Richardson<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 whose resume boasts stints drumming for\u00a0<strong>Thurston Moore<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Infinite Bisous<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Aldous RH<\/strong>, and <strong>Francis Lung<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Severe Girls channel the restless edge of\u00a0<strong>Buzzcocks<\/strong>, the scrappy charm of\u00a0<strong>Guided By Voices<\/strong>, and the bite of\u00a0<strong>Wipers<\/strong>\u00a0into something sharp, messy, and magnetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>Fill My Head is a bit about questioning religion, or a belief in something \u2018greater,\u2019<\/em>\u201d says Richardson. \u201c<em>And a bit about egos\u2026 and intrusive thoughts. They could all be the same thing, right? Whatever it is, it grips you.
