Belgium\u2019s alternative rock pioneers dEUS<\/strong> are marking a major milestone: the 30th anniversary of their seminal albums \u2018Worst Case Scenario\u2019 (1994) and \u2018In a Bar, Under the Sea\u2019 (1996). Both albums didn\u2019t just announce the band\u2014they quietly rewired European rock with their fearless experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Worst Case Scenario\u2019 arrived fully formed yet thrillingly unstable. Wiry guitars, fractured rhythms, and Tom Barman<\/strong>\u2019s half-spoken, half-sung narratives drifted between paranoia and pop. Tracks like Suds & Soda<\/em> and Via<\/em> weren\u2019t just songs\u2014they were dispatches from a band inventing its own logic in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years later, \u2018In a Bar, Under the Sea\u2019 pushed that logic even further. Looser, stranger, and more communal, it folded jazz phrasing, off-kilter pop hooks, and near-chaotic moments into something that still somehow made sense. It was a restless, daring snapshot of European guitar music at its most alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, in partnership with [PIAS] Recordings<\/strong>, dEUS will rerelease both albums on March 20<\/strong> as expanded 30th Anniversary editions: 3LP and 2CD sets packed with long-lost B-sides and rarities. To kick things off, the band has shared Overflow<\/em><\/strong>, a hidden gem from the In a Bar, Under the Sea<\/em> sessions, originally a 1996 B-side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
