(Life In Ultra Violet)\u2019 drops June 12th via his own imprint BGM Solutions, and honestly? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first single alone is enough to put this on your radar for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Let\u2019s Kill Ourselves<\/em> Is Exactly the Anthem 2026 Deserves<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lead single \u2014 featuring LA indie-electronic outfit Touching Ice and Miami partygirl duo TECHG1RLS \u2014 is a gloriously unhinged cocktail of electroclash, garage-rock and club energy. It started life as a cover of Chicago post-punkers The Ponys before gradually mutating into its own beast entirely. Think the chaotic joy of a three-way genre collision that somehow just\u2026 works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thematically it\u2019s a cheeky one too. Silver describes the track as \u201c<em>universally uplifting<\/em>\u201d \u2014 a rallying cry built around collective malaise. We\u2019re all kind of trudging forward together, and sometimes the most comforting thing you can do is laugh at the absurdity of it all. Futility as fuel. We get it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eKu7KH83PuQ?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>From Y2K Nostalgia to Sophisticated Edge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018L.U.V.\u2019 arrives five years after \u2019Memoryland\u2019 (2021), Silver\u2019s beloved dive into Y2K nostalgia and the music that shaped his earliest years. This new record picks up the thread \u2014 the subtitle quietly nods to Memoryland\u2019s closing track \u201c<em>The Ultraviolet Room<\/em>\u201d \u2014 but pushes the story forward. Where that album was wide-eyed and youthful, L.U.V. draws from a sharper, more refined headspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>The overall vibe of \u2018L.U.V.\u2019 is meant to be sort of eurodance with a sophisticated edge,<\/em>\u201d Silver says. \u201c<em>It\u2019s music for an adult lifestyle.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The influences he\u2019s pulling from this time are chefs kiss \u2014 Stuart Price (Les Rythmes Digitales), Giorgio Moroder, Felix da Housecat, Kraftwerk, Electric Six, Scissor Sisters, Annie, Kylie Minogue. A deliberate step past the current neo-electroclash revival moment (not that we\u2019re complaining about that), Silver instead reaches into his own personal archive as someone who was actually in that conversation \u2014 an artist who shaped the era through original work and a string of high-profile remixes, without ever being pinned down to one scene or sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s always been the CFCF magic.
