It&#8217;s her second self-produced track of 2026, following <em>Blood + Wine<\/em>, and it does exactly what the title promises: it&#8217;s sharp, a little wicked, and absolutely made to move bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rougeheart describes <em>Cruel<\/em> as being &#8220;<em>about people who purposefully choose to be cruel to others,<\/em>&#8221; adding that &#8220;<em>the words are both sarcastic and serious and I like the contrast of the lyrical content against the upbeat nature of the music, which otherwise makes it a fun dance track.<\/em>&#8221; That tension \u2014 dark subject matter wrapped in a club-ready groove \u2014 is kind of SINE&#8217;s whole thing, and it lands perfectly here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mastered by Mark Pistel (Meat Beat Manifesto, Consolidated), <em>Cruel<\/em> stays true to Rougeheart&#8217;s self-described &#8216;electronic boom&#8217; sound while keeping things fresh and floor-friendly.
