Forty-eight years. Eighteen-plus studio albums. Around 4,500 live shows. Vancouver punk architects D.O.A.<\/strong> have lived several lifetimes worth of rock & roll, and now they’re packaging the best of it into one gloriously loud slab of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Take on the Tyrants’<\/strong> drops May 21<\/strong> via Sudden Death Records<\/strong> in two formats: a double LP vinyl edition with 33 tracks<\/strong>, and a single-CD pressing with 30 tracks<\/strong>. It’s a non-stop barrage of punk rock mayhem spanning nearly five decades of righteous noise \u2014 and it’s available to pre-order now<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously 33 tracks can only scratch the surface of a catalog this deep, but consider it the perfect entry point for the uninitiated and a killer highlight reel for the lifers. From early hardcore bruisers to politically charged anthems, ‘Take on the Tyrants’<\/strong> covers a lot of ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something Better Change \u2014 The Documentary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The film digs into frontman Joe Keithley<\/strong>‘s life beyond the stage: his decades of activism and his remarkable journey into elected political office.
