Toronto’s beloved indie-pop weirdos cootie catcher<\/strong> are hitting the road hard this summer and fall, bringing their effervescent, synth-splattered sound to stages across North America and the UK. The tour is in support of their acclaimed new album ‘Something We All Got<\/a>‘<\/strong>, out now via Carpark Records<\/strong> \u2014 and if you haven’t heard it yet, fix that immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North American run kicks off June 19th in Kalamazoo, MI<\/strong> and winds its way west through Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Seattle, Vancouver, and San Francisco before landing in Los Angeles on July 5th<\/strong> and wrapping up in Chicago at the Empty Bottle on July 12th. Then come fall, the band \u2014 Nolan Jakupovski<\/strong> (guitar, vocals), Anita Fowl<\/strong> (vocals, bass), Sophia Chavez<\/strong> (vocals, synths), and Joseph Shemoun<\/strong> (drums) \u2014 crosses the pond for a full UK headline run<\/strong> including stops in Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the same band that already tore through New Colossus Festival and SXSW earlier this year, so expect these shows to be a full-on good time. ‘<\/em>Something We All Got‘<\/em> has been earning serious love from Pitchfork, NPR Music, Paste, FLOOD, Stereogum, and Bandcamp Daily \u2014 and for good reason. It’s a record that lives in that magical alternate universe where twee-pop hooks collide with bubbling electronics, lo-fi grit, and three distinct songwriting voices that somehow add up to something deeply cohesive and wildly fun. Joy is basically the fifth member of this band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
