Maya Jane Coles, the 26 year old British-Japanese producer\/DJ, will be the latest DJ to create a mix for fabric\u2019s compilation series, fabric 75. It will be released on 21st April worldwide and in USA on April 29th, 2014 – preorder it here<\/a>. It’s amazing that the series is at 75 now since I really got into the fabric live series years back.<\/p>\n

\"ksvn_MAYAPACKSHOTSMALL\"<\/a>
\nfabric 75 is chilled out but still danceable and oozes cool from even pore. It is a mix that avoids ornamental grooves in favour of fittingly percussive and musically rich simplicity; a raw house sound that is more mature and approachable than ever. The mix\u2019s melodic qualities offer yet more wonderful insight into Maya\u2019s music world, a rhythmic language spoken with the both the soft sonic variety and thunderous impact we\u2019ve come to expect from Maya\u2019s DJ performances. Wander with emotional caution, as deep chords dominate the mix and challenge the mere sight of mechanical beats.<\/p>\n

\u201cfabric was one of the first clubs that I partied at, so it’s quite mad to have gone from being a punter to a headliner, playing the midnight set at NYE and now my own fabric mix. It feels like the club has been symbolic in the evolution on my career with a lot of good memories and milestones.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Maya Jane Coles<\/p>\n

Maya\u2019s engaging atmospherics on fabric 75 are esoteric to say the least, and the result clearly guides the listener through her own personal and fascinating approach to dance music.<\/p>\n
