Jad Fair (of Half Japanese), French free-rock open quartet Hifiklub, and Anglo-German musician & producer Michael Beckett (aka kptmichigan) have come together for their second collaborative release, following 2012’s ‘Bird House’ EP. Their first full-length album, ‘Don’t Give Up’ is out now via Joyful Noise Recordings and features eight tracks of weird, off-kilter pop. ‘Don’t Give Up’ came together in a unique way: it began as a series of eighteen compositions created by Hifiklub over the course of one weekend, which were then completed remotely by Jad Fair and deconstructed & reassembled by kptmichigan.
