La Bête Blooms release video for ‘Breaking In’

La Bête Blooms

La Bête BloomsLa Bête Blooms have released the video for their latest single Breaking In. The track is a step up in feedback, screams and volume for the Hull post-punk five piece. We’re loving everything about it – right from the first screech of feedback – so catchy and we’re excited to hear more from the new EP. Watch Breaking In via YouTube below.

The band’s bold aggressive sound has seen strong support from notable radio DJs like BBC 6Music’s Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Tom Robinson, and Tom Ravenscroft, plus NME’s Radar team were also early to recognise the band’s promising output.

Taken from their upcoming second EP ‘I Know It’s Nothing,’ due out early next year and produced by Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses), the track’s urgency and desperate vocals accompany feedback and snarling guitars, reminiscent of the band’s debut single TV Speak, encapsulating the band’s live performances across the UK over the past year. La Bete Blooms’ latest single will be out this autumn via Hull labels The Adult Teeth Recording Company and Warren Records.

The band have recently supported the likes of Ratboy, Jaws and The Big Moon, whilst touring across England.

Meeting through Hull’s esteemed music nights, this five-piece have grown in confidence, and merging a wall of noise with a keen ear for melody, La Bête Blooms have grown from their shoegaze, reverberated beginnings to become a force of guitar driven pop songs. The bands desire to prove their worth with a unique take on modern life up north, echoes their home city of Hull’s sentiments as it becomes 2017’s UK City of Culture. They’re entwined with the regions hard work to prove preconceptions wrong, and their name, created in a similar way to Bowie’s renowned songwriting ‘cut up’ method, translates as ‘the beast blooms’ and seems more apt than ever.
