Mackage transformed CBC’s Studio 40 into an urban arctic playground for the private runway show unveiling of their Fall/Winter’16 collection. Featuring icicle chandeliers, an igloo runway entrance, and cocktails on ice for front row guests and live music by DJ Brendan Fallis, Mackage successfully fashioned a space that communicated their vision behind this season’s collection, Winter Warriors.
Inspired by fashion-forward urban metropolis overrun by a severe cold front, Mackage’s carefully curated assembly of womenswear, menswear, accessories and handbags showcased embroidered parkas, colourful furs, layered wool coats, bold designs and of course Mackage’s signature stamp – leather detailing and motorcycle jackets. Conversely, the aesthetic of the runway environment was sleek and minimalistic, incorporating monochromatic colour schemes, ice inspired props and hints of utilitarian accents.
Despite the rainy weather, guests warriored their way to this season’s only off-site show for the brand’s 8th runway preview with Toronto Fashion Week. The studio turned runway was bustling with a long list of fashionable tastemakers, industry insiders and celebrities including World Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis and front row staples Sam Beckerman (International Fashion Blogger), Brad Smith (Chopped Canada), and Stacey McKenzie (Model). Also in attendance were actors and pals Amanda Brugel and Kristin Booth, Degrassi starlet Ana Golga, socialite Ainsley Kerr, recognized shoe designer Ron White, fashion influencer Alexander Liang and NYC based DJ/Design Duo Coco and Breezy.

After the final walk, guests celebrated the success of the Fall Winter’ 16 collection alongside the brand’s Co-Creative Directors Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy with a post-show soiree on the runway while partying to the sounds of DJ Guillaume Viau and snacking on pizza served in custom Mackage pizza boxes.
