Mark Lanegan and dark wave band IYEARA have released single She Loved You. The single is lifted from a remix of Mark’s entire 2019 album ‘Somebody’s Knocking,’ retitled and reimagined  as ‘Another Knock At The Door’ (IYEARA remixes), out on August 21.

On She Loved You, IYEARA have combined the throbbing synths of John Carpenter with the ethereal, ambient sonics of Tangerine Dream, to create their own cerebral take on the works of a unique, enduring artist. Listen to the remix via Spotify below.

She Loved You follows previous single Playing Nero, where IYEARA added a brooding, industrial edge to a beautiful, wistful original score.

The Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age front man’s 11th solo album was a synth-laden and pulsating soundscape. In step with Lanegan’s next move – a published memoir (Sing Backwards and Weep) – IYEARA have reworked the entire album, to scrutinise and reveal the nuances and atmospheres within, to re frame Lanegan’s lyrics. IYEARA have reimagined the primal, guttural songs in their own image.

Comprised of The Duke Spirit guitarist Toby Butler, producer Malcolm Carson and vocalist Paul O’Keeffe, IYEARA announced themselves in 2019 through the release of ‘CONSEQUENCES EP’; a record including a cover of Shout by Tears for Fears featuring The Duke Spirit’s Liela Moss.

‘Mark Lanegan Band – Another Knock At The Door (IYEARA remixes)’ is out on August 21, 2020. You can pre-order the forthcoming album here.
