Maxïmo Park have released a new EP, ‘Live From The Coast,’ featuring songs off of their new album ‘Nature Always Wins,’ which hit #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart in March. Each of the singles released ahead of the album are included here – the psychedelic Child Of The Flatlands, Baby, Sleep‘s playful indie-pop, the jerky and animated I Don’t Know What I’m Doing, the widescreen rumination of All Of Me, along with the album’s political focal point Why Must A Building Burn? – all recorded live on the cliffs above Tynemouth Bay.
Singer Paul Smiths comments: “We launched the single Baby, Sleep with a filmed live-stream, on a cliff overlooking Tynemouth Bay, but we thought we’d record a few more songs to mark the occasion. This was the first time we’d recorded them as a band because the actual album was recorded separately, with each member in isolation.”

Maxïmo Park have always thrived in a live setting, and ‘Live From The Coast’ follows 2019’s ‘As Long As We Keep Moving’ live DVD release. After a year without shows, delays and rescheduling, its release comes as excitement among fans to see the new songs performed live reaches its peak.
