Canadian indie rockers Mother Mother have signed to Def Jam Recordings in the states and will release their new album ‘Very Good Bad Thing’ on April 7. The follow-up to 2012’s Juno-nominated album ‘The Sticks,’ this new album sees Mother Mother expanding its sonic palate to integrate electronic and rock elements while delving deep into the complexities of the human condition in all its tragic, conflicting nature. Watch the video for Monkey Tree, which is the first single off the album.

“It’s the person, the humanoid…that’s the very good bad thing,” explains vocalist/guitarist Ryan Guldemond.
Recorded with Juno-winning producer Gavin Brown (Metric, Billy Talent, Three Days Grace) at his Noble Street studio in Toronto, ‘Very Good Bad Thing’ is the next logical step in Mother Mother’s sonic evolution.
Mother Mother has confirmed festival appearances including Sasquatch, Bottle Rocket, and Firefly and additional US headline dates TBA.
