Nightstop shares video for ‘Under The Killing Moon’

Nightstop

NightStop’s new music video for Under A Killing Moon, which is lifted from his new album ‘Dancing Killer’ that No Trend Records is releasing physically tomorrow (pre-order here). Created by Tommi Niukkanen, the stop-motion video tells a little nocturnal tale of what may or may not happen as we sleep. The song also follows NightStop’s most recent single Phantasmagoria (SoundCloud), an action-packed retrowave song that he shared last month along w/ the announcement of his signing to No Trend Records and the vinyl/cassette release of Dancing Killer. NightStop is a rising young Finnish synthwave producer who draws his inspiration and influence from 1980s cyberpunk movies, video games and pop culture. The brainchild of Ere Ek, he began making his ominous, kinetic retro-inspired music under the NightStop moniker in 2012 and has been ingrained within Europe and Russia’s tight-knit DIY scene ever since, steadily touring and putting out cassette & vinyl releases. NightStop’s music fuses sounds from iconic analog synths with modern electronic production techniques; Dancing Killer could double as a futurist, neon-soaked soundtrack to Blade Runner.

NightStop is also in Chicago this week for a series of events that being tonight to coincide with No Trend’s release of Dancing Killer on Friday. He’ll be performing a live in-store show at Joyride Records on March 29th, then performing at his proper album release show at Co-Prosperity Sphere on March 30th, the day No Trend Records is releasing the album (more info on all events below).
