snake eyes are back and buzzing with energy as they team up with Beevive for an epic release: the new single jar full of wasps via alcopop! records (UK) and Grand Hotel Van Cleef (GER). This Brighton gritpop duo is turning up the volume with a wild blend of sound and style—plus, they’ve got a killer video ready for you to check out below.

Stream + Save the bees
Dive into the track by streaming it here! Inspired by a quirky YouTube moment where Graham Coxon described a guitar pedal as sounding like “a jar full of wasps,” the song captures that frenetic, fuzzy spirit perfectly.

Frontman Jim Heffy sums it up: “jar full of wasps is a song about adolescence. About being young, dumb and a liability. It’s about the crap mates you used to have and a reminder to surround yourself with good people and to back yourself!”

Eco-Friendly vibes
In true snake eyes fashion, they’re mixing in some serious eco-love. In a collaboration with Beevive, limited edition snake eyes Bee Revival Kits are being created for the physical release. These nifty kits come with a digital download code and are designed to give tired bees a quick sugary boost—because without bees, there’s no us. With 35 UK bee species facing extinction, every little act of kindness counts. As the band puts it:

“What Beevive are doing is so, so important and it’s a real privilege to partner with them on jar full of wasps <3”

A bit about snake eyes
Since their formation in 2020, snake eyes have rocked countless stages—from headline tours to supporting iconic names like James and the Cold Gun, Gender Roles, Delta Sleep, and more. With a string of high-energy releases, including a climate-change charity single that raised over £400 for Music Declares Emergency and Greenpeace, they continue to push creative boundaries. After parting ways with bassist Sophie Douglas last year, the duo (Jim Heffy on vocals/guitar and Thomas Coe-Brooker on drums/vocals) are now doubling down as a live duo and gearing up for an even bigger year ahead.
