‘Stalemate’: Seedbed’s bold debut arrives June 2025

Seedbed

Get ready to dive into the swirling world of Seedbed’s debut full‑length, ‘Stalemate,’ arriving June 2025 on Tiny Engines.

Mouse At Your Feet is out now—think laid‑back slacker rock that bubbles up into glorious distortion. JJ Posway trades vocals with Anna Staddon over a groove that’s equal parts scratched‑together charm and polished punch. If you’re into Broken Social Scene’s epic builds, Duster’s hazy guitars, The Microphones’ intimate oddities, The Radio Dept’s dreamy haze or Rainer Maria’s heartfelt riffs, you’re in the right place.

What to expect

‘Stalemate’ is seven years of highs, lows, restless nights and big changes distilled into ten tracks. You’ll find moments of polished reflection on Unit 4 and that hypnotic, title‑less nine‑letter track, while Fingertips Like Ice and opener Mouse At Your Feet crash in a storm of feedback. It’s an album about growth—and the unease that comes with it—yet every swell and sudden hush reminds you why change can be beautiful.

Who’s behind it

Seedbed is JJ Posway’s new playground—a revolving collection of Atlanta and Athens friends who took the final Scooterbabe recordings, sprinkled in fresh ideas, and let producer Terence Chiyezhan sculpt the pieces into something startling. Anna Staddon’s keys and vocals, Michael Buice’s bass and Zach Spires’s drums from Scooterbabe’s last lineup weave through the songs, but this is a whole new beast.

Press play on Mouse At Your Feet, mark your calendar for June, and join Seedbed as they turn creative tension into something wildly alive.
