Swedish band Tennis Bafra are back with new material, released via Umeå label No Method. You can take a listen to Shit For Brains via Soundcloud below. This is the first track lifted from their new album ‘Bummer,’ which is due out on April 22nd.
More about Tennis Bafra? Creating loud, guitar-driven rock, along the lines of Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Polvo and Mudhoney – as far as Tennis Bafra are concerned these are the only bands that matter – they have been a band since 1993, though their debut wasn’t released until 2012. “We would rather hang out and just play in our rehearsal room than record and send out demos to places, that bit seemed so boring. One time we were asked to send a demo to this festival, but we just sent them a cassette with one of our favourite band instead (Eric´s Trip). We didn’t get the gig.”
When the debut dropped in 2012, Tennis Bafra were instantly booked to play WAY OUT WEST FESTIVAL. They’ve supported Dinosaur Jr, Thurston Moore and Polvo several times and toured Europe.
