Tennis System premiere video for new single ‘Here We Go’

Los Angeles trio Tennis System have premiered the video for their new single, Here We Go, and you can watch it via YouTube below.

Here We Go is a first taste from a third full-length album in the works for later in 2016, the band’s first new music since the release of their sophomore album, ‘Technicolour Blind,’ in the fall of 2014. The single arrived late last month via PaperCup Music, in advance of Tennis System’s performance at this year’s Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, supporting DIIV. Tennis System hit the road last night, kicking things off in San Diego, heading to the SXSW Music Conference in Austin next week (dates below).

Originally formed in Washington, DC at the beginning of this decade, Tennis System fully came into its own with a move across the country to Los Angeles. There Taylor, basking in the endless sunshine, was both thrilled by the cities thrilling beauty and the dark underbelly that lies beneath. ‘Technicolour Blind’ was a heady fever-dream of a record, sun-bleached yet refreshed, imbued with the peculiar patina of a rough-and-tumble circumstance. The LA Weekly included Tennis System in their “15 LA Bands To Watch In 2015” stating, “‘Technicolour Blind’ is meant to be experienced somewhere intimate enough to capture their heart-wrenching lyricism, without losing their blaringly loud appeal,” while Consequence of Sound called the album, “a beautiful ode to feeling really shitty,” and The Four Oh Five, “a near perfect blend of shoegaze and indie-pop that will have you wishing summer was just a bit longer and dreaming of beaches and oceans.”

In the past few years, Tennis System has shared bills with the likes of The Flaming Lips, Ride, Wavves, Japandroids, Nothing, A Place To Bury Strangers, Beach Fossils, while crowds at Austin Psych Fest, Echo Park Rising and Air + Style festivals, the Ace Hotel Palm Springs, L.A.’s legendary Amoeba Records, and the city’s iconic Part-Time Punks showcase have begun to bear witness to Tennis System’s slash-and-burn live shows. Tennis System will be previewing new material this weekend and en route to SXSW, where more events will be announced in the coming days.
