Austin-based psychedelic-folk project The Dan Ryan has just debuted the video for Tomorrow/Forever. Warped southwestern landscapes accompany the trippy track, taken from the recently released self-titled album. This is the inaugural release for Los Angeles’ Cosmic Dreamer Music.
Tomorrow/Forever opens with Nathan Dixey packing up his radio, getting in his car, and driving down a deserted highway, most likely not Chicago’s Dan Ryan highway, from which he derives his stage name. Psychedelic visuals match the minimalist electro-funk track as slow-mo, timelapsed, vibrating, and reversed lenses reveal the majesties of nature: a transcendental experience for a truly potent track.
More about The Dan Ryan? Formed in 2011 as a side project in Lawrence, KS, The Dan Ryan is now based in Austin, TX, where the debut LP was home-recorded between December 2013 to July 2014. Psychedelic and deeply personal, these songs bear a chapter of change and evoke the fleeting nature of one’s perspective on life. The Dan Ryan LP will also be the first release from new California based record label Cosmic Dreamer Music, a label whose name fits The Dan Ryan’s aesthetic perfectly.
