Gilla Band’s own Alan Duggan‑Borges has been holed up for years tinkering with vintage synths, drum machines and guitars, blending noise, techno, experimental hip‑hop and post‑punk into something entirely his own. The Null Club is the result: a collaborative playground where each track gets its own special guest vocal.

On this debut EP you’ll hear:

  • Faris Badwan (The Horrors) bringing his signature dark charm to 14 Hours
  • Valentine Caulfield (Mandy, Indiana) haunting Slip Angle
  • E L U C I D (Armand Hammer) dropping sharp bars on Frameshift

All the instrumentals were laid down by Alan in his Dublin home and rehearsal studio; vocals were recorded wherever inspiration struck—NYC apartments, London studios and Manchester living rooms.

“Faris reached out to Gilla Band ages ago, so getting him on ‘14 Hours’ was a dream. We wrote and recorded the melody in his flat over two days—then he polished the vocals later. The MRK drum machine I’ve been obsessed with finally found its home on this track, and everything just clicked.”

You may already know Slip Angle and Frameshift from their rave support on Pitchfork, BBC 6 Music, The Guardian, Stereogum, NME and more.

Limited‑edition white‑label vinyl
Only 500 copies of the 12″ pressed on white vinyl—each one hand‑stamped by Alan and released on the indie label he runs with his wife. Mixed by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band), mastered by Jamie Hyland (M(h)aol).
