The Tiny Record Shop is packing its crates and popping-up in Toronto’s Parkdale Village for one day only. Pop by Common Sort (1414 Queen Street West) tomorrow between 5:00PM-11:00PM to check out some vintage vinyl and take in a DJ set from PS I Love You’s Paul Saulnier as part of Vintage Crawl Toronto. Fingers crossed that The Tiny Record Shop opens up a Parkdale location if the response is good – get out there people and show them some love!

Meanwhile, it’s Hip Hop Week at The Tiny Record Shop, it’s all classic hip hop and most of it is original pressings. You’ll see stuff from Eric B & Rakim, Gangstarr, 2Pac, Main Source, EPMD, Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Slick Rick, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and lots of Wu-Tang including solo albums from Raekwon, Ghostface, GZA and Method Man.
The Tiny Record Shop is owned by Trevor Larocque and his partner Maude Fallon-Davesne. As residents of Toronto’s “East End” they wanted to contribute to their neighbourhood in the same way that Larocque’s acclaimed record label Paper Bag Records did in the early 2000’s. Located at 804 Queen Street East in Toronto’s Riverside/Leslieville community, The Tiny Record Shop caters to the city’s music lovers with a curated selection of new and vintage vinyl from around the world.
The Tiny Record Shop boasts a selection of essential vinyl releases from the 1950’s through to this week’s newest sounds. The shop’s selection will impress fans of country, soul, reggae, blues, classic and indie rock alike.
