Pacific Northwest post-punks are shaking things up with their latest single, War. This new track from Datura—featured on their upcoming album ‘Songs from a Dark House’—delivers a fierce, looping riff that fuels a powerhouse rhythm section before exploding into a wild, reverb-soaked sonic frenzy reminiscent of legends like Killing Joke.

You can stream War on your favourite platform or check it out on Bandcamp. The album, set for release on Friday, April 18, comes through a cool collaboration between Sell the Heart Records, Poland’s Bat-Cave Productions, and UK’s Engineer Records.

Formed in 2017, Datura first made waves with two independently released EPs, and then dropped their debut LP ‘Arcano Chemical’ in 2022 via Northern California’s Sell the Heart Records. Now, with ‘Songs from a Dark House,’ they’ve truly found their groove. This second LP is packed with irresistible tracks that dive into the raw feelings of isolation, confusion, and the whirlwind of modern life—tackling themes from burnout and heartache to addiction and war.

Think of ‘Songs from a Dark House’ as your edgy, danceable darkwave anthem for those moments when the world feels a little too intense.
