VOWWS drop new single ‘SHUDDER’ featuring Josh Freese & Munky

The rising industrial alt-rock duo VOWWS are back — and they brought some heavy friends with them. Their brand-new single SHUDDER just dropped, and it’s anything but quiet. Featuring none other than Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, etc. etc. legend) and James “Munky” Shaffer from KORN, SHUDDER rips, pulses, and creeps in all the right places. It’s the kind of cinematic chaos we’ve come to expect from the LA-by-way-of-Australia pair — and it comes with a stunning new music video to match.

But that’s not all. With SHUDDER out in the world, VOWWS also announced their upcoming full-length album, ‘I’ll fill you house with an army,’ out October 24th, 2025 via Out Of Line Music. And yes — pre-orders are live now on CD and a super-limited “corona” vinyl edition for the collectors.

So what’s the buzz? Well, it’s been building for a while. Over the past few years, VOWWS — singer/keyboardist Rizz and singer/guitarist Matt James — have carved out their own lane with a moody, immersive blend of industrial electronica and alt-rock. Their fanbase includes legends like Deftones, Gary Numan, Billy Corgan, and of course, the very artists who now appear on this latest track.

‘I’ll fill you house with an army’ is shaping up to be their boldest statement yet. Over two years in the making, the album started as a collection of demos carefully refined with the help of Billy Howerdel (A Perfect Circle). Rather than rush something out, the duo focused on crafting a record that’s rich with intention — a kind of quiet rebellion against the churn-and-burn pace of today’s music industry.

And their artistry isn’t just resonating with fellow musicians — fashion’s been taking notes, too. VOWWS have collaborated with the likes of Comme des Garçons, Alyx, Givenchy, and Byredo, proving their aesthetic vision extends far beyond the stage.

Speaking of stages… VOWWS are in full tour mode this summer, hitting the road with Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell across Europe, plus festival appearances at Rock Am Ring, Hellfest, Download Festival, and more. They’ve also just been announced as special guests for The Smashing Pumpkins’ massive Gunnersbury Park show in London this August. It’s a big year.
