Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, the experimental prog-art-rock and proclaimed “noh-wave” collective, returns with newly announced tour dates that takes the Toronto-based musical force across North America, the UK and Europe this summer. The nine Canadian dates feature several festival plays, Pop Montreal and a just confirmed performance at Supercrawl in Hamilton this September. The band recently wrapped a near two-month run of shows across North America in support of their 2018 release, ‘DIRT’ (Paper Bag Records). First formed in 2007 YT//ST has grown into an undeniably impactful music collective. They function as a theatre company, an operatic psych cult, the speculative prophets of humanity’s impending doom and a thunderous rock band. Alasaka B (YT//ST’s drummer, leader and artist) recently won a Canadian Screen Award for her original score in Don McKeller’s ‘Through Black Spruce.’
This upcoming tour serves as a sonic recall to experiencing and hearing creativity at its highest level.
