Mark your calendars, because Tomahawk is finally hitting the stage again after 13 long years! The legendary experimental rock outfit is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a month-long U.S. tour, and they’re bringing along labelmates The Melvins for a reunion tour that hasn’t happened since 2003’s ‘Geek Show’.
Featuring Duane Denison, Mike Patton, John Stanier, and Trevor Dunn, Tomahawk last rocked the road supporting 2013’s ‘‘Oddfellows’. Their 2021 album, ‘Tonic Immobility’, dropped during the pandemic and, sadly, never got its live debut—until now.
“In the spirit of the Olympics, Team Tomahawk has decided to rise up and go for the gold once again,” says Denison. “Also competing will be our cohorts, The Melvins.”
Buzz Osborne agrees: “This tour is a no-brainer. I can’t wait. A Melvins/Tomahawk trek will be a stone groove.” The Melvins will bring their four-piece powerhouse lineup featuring Osborne, Dale Crover, Steven McDonald, and Coady Willis.

More about Tomahawk
Formed in 2001, Tomahawk has always been a supergroup for the adventurous ear: Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard), Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle), John Stanier (Helmet, Battles), and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas). Their catalog—including ‘Mit Gas’ (2003), ‘Anonymous’ (2007), and ‘Oddfellows’ (2013)—earned critical acclaim and a loyal following. ‘Oddfellows’ even hit #9 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums Chart and scored rave reviews from The A.V. Club, Revolver, and Pitchfork. After a long hiatus filled with other projects, the band returned in 2021 with Tonic Immobility, and now they’re back live to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
More about The Melvins
Since 1983, the Melvins have shaped the sound of modern heavy music. Hailing from Montesano, Washington, the band—led by Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover, now with Steven McDonald and Coady Willis—has released over 30 albums and influenced generations of rockers. Their latest album, Tarantula Heart, arrived last year, with a new collaboration with Napalm Death, Savage Imperial Death March, due this spring.
Tomahawk + The Melvins live? That’s not just a tour—it’s a must-see, face-melting celebration of two of experimental rock’s most enduring acts.
