80’s band Berlin to appear on WorldArts’ TRANSMISSIONS

Berlin TRANSMISSION

On Tuesday, March 15th at 12pm, there will be a brand new episode of WorldArts’ TRANSMISSIONS featuring iconic 80’s band Berlin. The show is hosted by TV and radio personality Nic Harcourt. You can tune in and watch the episode here: WorldArts.com/Transmissions.

The Los Angeles-based synth pop group, founded by bassist John Crawford, singer Terri Nunn, and keyboard player David Diamond, came out swinging with the single Sex (I’m A…), which was from the gold-selling debut EP ‘Pleasure Victim’ in 1982. This was a super strong release and definitely worth checking out if you aren’t familiar with the band. Watch the promo video for Metro via YouTube below, which is off of ‘Pleasure Victim’.

Berlin’s first full-length LP was ‘Love Life’ in 1984. Berlin topped the charts in 1986 with the single Take My Breath Away, the love theme from the Tom Cruise movie ‘Top Gun’ – definitely don’t judge them on this song.
