RATATAT have shared a new music video for their song Pricks Of Brightness. It was directed by Luis Cerveró (co-founder of CANADA), the video stars the band joined by various drummers and was shot in incredible locations on the outskirts of Paris. The video, explains Cerveró, “is the result of many conversations with the band about the meaning of making instrumental music, and also about the idea of meaning in itself, what meaning exactly means or how meaningless meaning can be.” Watch it below via YouTube.
Last Call with Carson Daly aired another episode featuring RATATAT performing Abrasive and Shempi. Earlier this fall, the band performed Cream On Chrome and Pricks Of Brightness for the show.
RATATAT recently extended their North American tour, which will see them do an east coast run of dates in January 2016. The band is currently on tour internationally, stopping in India this month and capping off the year with a show in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on December 31. RATATAT played Pitchfork Music Festival Paris in October and clips from that performance are now available at Pitchfork.com.
RATATAT’s release of ‘Magnifique,’ which critics are calling their best album yet, makes this the 5th studio album for the duo. For ‘Magnifique,’ RATATAT returned to their core guitar-driven sound, which they spoke to Wax Poetics Issue 62 about in-depth. ‘Magnifique’ is out now on XL Recordings.
