New Brunswick’s quartet, Ghost Camp, is back at it again with a collection of fast, loud new-wave/indie-punk songs on their sophomore album, ‘Great Lakes’. The album deals with trying to understand your place in a vast universe, transitioning from a child to an adult and how that affects your perception of reality. Take a listen below to the latest single, Ganymede, which is lifted from their sophomore album.

More about Ghost Camp? Ghost Camp started in 2013, originally under the name Osaka. After people in their community expressed concern over potential cultural appropriation, they regrouped, changed their name (new one is better anyway) and kept on playing and writing. The four of them met in high school, so they’ve known each other for 6 or 7 years now. David started the band after he dropped out of college back in December 2012. They started as a small acoustic act, mostly playing coffee houses and the occasional basement show. They still keep it pretty DIY, mostly art spaces and basements (sometimes kitchens), but after three years of playing and traveling they’ve found a nice place for themselves in the local creative community.
