Frankie and the Witch Fingers are officially back to scramble your brainwaves. The LA psych-punk powerhouse just dropped their latest single Dead Silence, a gnarly taste of what’s to come on their upcoming album, ‘Trash Classic,’ out June 6, 2025 via The Reverberation Appreciation Society and Greenway Records.

And because they love their fans loud and sweaty, the band’s also rolling out three intimate album release shows in the days leading up to the record drop:

  • May 30 – Shacklewell Arms, London
  • June 5 – Berlin, New York City
  • June 7 – Permanent Records Roadhouse, Los Angeles

These are going to be the kind of shows you tell your weird grandkids about. Don’t miss ‘em.

Dead Silence – A Jet-Engine Screamer

Dead Silence isn’t just a rager—it’s got a proper origin story. The band first crossed paths with producer Maryam Qudus (Spacemoth) at a festival in Boise. Cut to a year later, and she’s deep in the guts of ‘Trash Classic,’ co-engineering, twisting knobs, and helping sculpt the record’s jagged edge.

Fun fact: on the plane ride home from that festival, guitarist Josh recorded the plane taking off. That roar? It made its way into the bridge of Dead Silence. It’s a crusty little time capsule that somehow perfectly fits into the band’s universe of sonic mayhem.

Maryam didn’t just tweak knobs—she distorted, haunted, and splashed her voice all over the record. Her fingerprints are everywhere, turning ‘Trash Classic’ into something that buzzes, mutates, and snarls like a living thing.

‘Trash Classic’ Is Coming for Your Brain

This is not a drill. ‘Trash Classic’ is the band’s wildest evolution yet—an industrial-strength cocktail of proto-punk venom, synth-punk chaos, and sludgy new wave grime. Think: blown-out basslines, synths that sound like dying neon signs, and vocals that bounce between a sneer and a smirk.

The songs were born in the industrial sprawl of Vernon, California—surrounded by rusted RVs and machinery that’s seen better days—but the magic happened at Tiny Telephone Studio in Oakland. Under Qudus’ mad-scientist watch, the band pushed themselves into new territory: cartoon rituals to kick off each session, candy binges late at night, and unpredictable experiments that gave each track a pulse of its own.

This isn’t just an album—it’s a beautifully warped document of controlled chaos. ‘Trash Classic’ is a glittering trash fire of overindulgence, toxic joy, and sonic salvation.
