Marseille’s chaotic underground is shaking loose again, and at the heart of it is Technopolice—a feral quartet cooking up a raw, sweaty mess of garage-punk that feels both unhinged and totally locked in. They’ve dropped their latest single Tank, a pulse-pounding preview of their debut album ‘Chien De La Casse,’ landing September 26 via Howlin’ Banana Records, Idiotape, and Ganache Records.

Tank is the third single from the upcoming LP and it hits like a rush-hour daydream gone sideways—riff-heavy, groove-riddled, and soaked in the realization that growing up doesn’t always go as planned. Think childhood ideals cracking under fluorescent lights, the romance of a city’s noise, and the calm acceptance that maybe it’s all falling apart—and that’s okay.

Built for fans of R.M.F.C, Gee-Tee, Prison Affair, and Tee Vee Repairman, Technopolice’s sound is frantic but laser-focused, riding the line between total collapse and joyful chaos.

So what is ‘Chien De La Casse’ all about?
It’s a sweaty, synth-laced sprint through the modern punk maze—equal parts snarling guitars and crunchy 16-bit synths that wouldn’t feel out of place in a bootleg Mario Kart game. The band wrote and shaped the album through instinct and repetition, grinding through rehearsals until they hit that perfect blend of tension and release.

The album swerves between warp-speed punk blowouts and eerie, slowed-down detours that flirt with no wave territory. The lyrics, mostly in French, wrestle with urban absurdity, deadpan social satire, and an ever-present jolt of raw nerve.

Technopolice’s origin story?
It’s as organic and chaotic as their sound. After catching a handful of killer gigs from Aussie, German, and Spanish bands like Autobahns and Ghoulies, the future members of Technopolice were lit up. They went from spectators to noise-makers fast, drawing from the sweaty, weird, and ultra-DIY punk energy shaking up the scene in Marseille. Members came together from local projects like La Flemme, Flathead, and Avenoir—and something clicked.

The record itself was laid down deep in the countryside, away from cities and distractions. No metronomes, no studio tricks. Everything was tracked live with the Pollen Session crew, keeping the recordings dirty, honest, and alive.

And that’s really the heart of ‘Chien De La Casse’: it’s not trying to copy a scene or rehash a sound. It’s Technopolice building their own beast from the scraps—channeling global chaos through a Marseille filter and screaming it straight from the junkyard.

‘Chien De La Casse’ arrives September 26 on vinyl and digital. Expect it to hit hard and leave you twitching.

Turn up Tank and get ready to sweat.
