Minneapolis dream-pop mavens she’s green are back, and they’re bringing their signature haze with them. Today, the band premieres their new single mettle via Photo Finish Records, along with a brand-new official music video directed by Jaxon Whittington.
Blending reverb-soaked guitars, driving drums, and Zofia Smith’s ethereal vocals, mettle channels the frustration of a grim world into something hopeful and thunderous. As Smith puts it, the track “channels the frustration and discomfort that stem from what often feels like constant bad news, while also being an anthem of resilience and the courage to take action and bring about positive change.”

she’s green have been on a roll. Last year’s ‘Chrysalis’ EP marked their first project in over two years, with songs like Willow, Figurines, and Graze capturing the band’s lush, dreamy aesthetic. The five-piece earned praise from The FADER, PAPER Magazine, Stereogum, and more, and wrapped a whirlwind 2025 with tours supporting Softcult, Slow Pulp, Blondshell, and others, plus debut festival appearances at Noise Pop in San Francisco and Freakout Weekender in Seattle.
The band kicked off 2026 in style with a sold-out headline tour in China and their first KEXP session, which DJ Cheryl Waters called “absolutely beautiful.” Critics are taking notice too: Alternative Press recently tagged them as a “Band to Watch,” praising their understated, emotionally precise approach that blends dream pop, shoegaze, and indie rock.

Hailing from Minneapolis, she’s green describe their sound as “moss music”—a lush, immersive world inspired as much by Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki as by Slowdive and Cocteau Twins. With Liam Armstrong, Zofia Smith, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck, and Teddy Nordvold, the band has built a reputation for dreamy, emotionally honest music that balances warmth and edge. From their 2023 debut EP ‘Wisteria’ to last year’s ‘Chrysalis,’ they’ve been pushing the limits of their sound while winning over fans wherever they go.
