LA-based indie outfit Peel Dream Magazine has announced their first run of tour dates for 2026 — a July West Coast stretch opening for Nation of Language, kicking off July 9 in Ventura, CA. More news from the PDM camp is reportedly on the way, so keep your ears to the ground.
For the uninitiated: Peel Dream Magazine is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Joseph Stevens, a band that crawled out of New York City’s DIY underground in 2018 with their debut ‘Modern Meta Physic’ and never really stopped shapeshifting. Their catalogue wanders through drone pop, shoegaze, krautrock, and minimalist symphonic territory — a restless, beautiful mess in the best possible way. By 2020, they’d traded the East Village for the West Coast.
Their 2024 release ‘Rose Main Reading Room’ — which Pitchfork tagged as “gorgeous and glowing” — and its companion record ‘Taurus’ mark something of a new chapter: warmer, catchier, more romantic. Stevens plants these songs against the grand backdrops of New York City (Grand Central, the American Museum of Natural History) while threading in themes of instinct, animality, and the deep pull of the natural world. Nostalgic and alive at the same time.
Stream or grab ‘Taurus‘ below, and catch them on the road this July.
