New York City’s Mainland released their new ‘Shiner EP’ this week, and now the band has unveiled their new video for the track Savant, which is lifted from the EP. Watch the video below via YouTube.

The EP was produced by Spoon’s Jim Eno at his renowned Austin studio, Public Hi-Fi. You can watch this short video trailer of the band hard at work in Eno’s studio. Recorded straight to tape, the band expands their dynamic sound on the new EP, tying together their signature punchy garage-rock guitar riffs with concrete-tight drums, rhythmic synthesizers, and driving bass lines.
Often compared to artists such as The Smith Westerns, Television, and Palma Violets, the sound of the record reflects its various birthplaces; downtown New York, (the birthplace of the band), Austin (the birthplace of the recordings) and California (the birthplace of the majority of the band members).
