The best way to end a day is to receive an announcement of the new single from a band you love in your email inbox. Today, it was from Glasgow based band Kick To Kill who are releasing their latest single Dreams on Monday 2nd June on itunes and all major digital stores via Flowers In The Dustbin Records. I heard rumblings that the announcement / reveal was coming soon, and since I loved their previous singles, Black Kisses and Avalanche, I was waiting for this new track. They didn’t disappoint – take a listen to Dreams via Soundcloud below.
The band’s first singles have picked up comparisons to artists like Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Jesus and Mary Chain and The Stooges. These are accurate comparisons, but they Kick To Kill definitely have a sound of their own. You can find all of Kick To Kill’s tracks on the Flowers In The Dustbin store here, if you want them. Dreams is also now available to pre-order on Bandcamp.
Kick To Kill play a triple single launch event on Saturday 5th April at the 13th Note, Glasgow with fellow Flowers In The Dustbin artists Mummy Short Arms and Alansmithee.
