Philadelphia psych/shoegaze quartet Weekender are back with their latest single, Loving/Hating, which has premiered via Consequence of Sound, who stated, “Weekender combine dreamy pop melodies with crunchy guitar riffs that seem to have a mind of their own.”  The track is lifted from their upcoming sophomore ‘Floaty Feeling, Blue‘ EP, which is due out on January 15th via PaperCup Music.

Songwriter Derek Sheehan credits an infusion of analogue synths into the mix, that really pushed the band’s sound forward on the ‘Floaty Feeling, Blue‘ EP.

Over the course of the past two years, Weekender has become a staple band in Philadelphia to support touring artists coming through town including Future Islands, The Growlers, Nothing, Surfer Blood, Israel Nash, Peace, and Field Report, amongst others.
