Washington DC’s SEX FACES are about to unleash a full-throttle punk rock tantrum with their debut full-length album, ‘BAD VIBES OST,’ out now via Slovenly Records. This record doesn’t just spit in the face of good vibes—it curb-stomps them in an alley behind the venue.

Birthed in the sweaty, dim corners of DC’s punk scene, ‘BAD VIBES OST’ is a snarling, distorted ride through 11 tracks of no-wave sneers, garage punk filth, and post-punk tension. It’s the kind of record that makes your speakers sweat and your neighbors call the cops.

Recorded and mixed by Dan Angel and produced by the band’s own Ben Schurr, this album is the sound of a group that knows exactly how to harness chaos and throw it back in your face—ugly, loud, and totally magnetic.

Let’s talk lineup:
Jacky Cougar (Des Demonas, Thee Lolitas) is all flying elbows and thunderclaps behind the kit.
Sal Go (Stop Worrying & Love the Bomb, The NVs) shreds like he’s revving a chainsaw in a basement.
Hana Racecar (Tadzio, Coven Tree) adds viola lines that slash through the fuzz with sly grace.
FiFi Allin (TK Echo, Et At It) brings basslines that swing like brass knuckles in a bar fight.

Together, they make a glorious mess—dragging Velvet Underground through the gutter, giving The Fall a bloody nose, and lighting the fuse on a sonic Molotov cocktail worthy of Royal Trux.

The record comes packed with fuzzed-out rippers and beautifully unhinged moments. Can’t Do That is a gnarly feminist anthem built on riffs and rage. Feed Machine is FCC-clean (miraculously), but still hits like a seizure. And S.C.U.M was literally written in a weed haze while high on goat cheese and Valerie Solanas. No joke. “I don’t believe in ghosts,” says Sal, “but it felt like she was holding a lit cigarette to my eye.”

The band’s lore is as loud as their music. Jacky misremembered a Lemmy story and turned it into a song title. Johnny and Moz breaks down the wreckage of relationships. And on Comfort Man, they were so fired up about the subject, they made their producer’s dad lay down the worst flute solo of all time in his dishonor. Pure pettiness. Pure genius.

If you like your music dirty, snarling, and unrepentant—like Stooges, Bad Seeds, Royal Trux, or The Kills—‘BAD VIBES OST’ will scratch that unholy itch. Mastered by Jim Diamond (Ghetto Recorders), this thing is meant to be played at full blast with a busted beer can in hand.
