New Album ‘Beauty Fades, Pain Lasts Forever’ Out August 1
North American Tour Announced

Singapore’s dreamy guitar-pop quartet Blush just kicked things up a notch—they’ve officially signed to Kanine Records and are celebrating with a sparkly, bittersweet new single and video, X My Heart.

On the surface, it’s all sunshine and catchy hooks, but Blush are never that simple. Underneath the lush guitars and shimmery textures lies a heavy lyrical heart. “Cross my heart and I hope to die / in this sick sad world that’s never mine,” sings Soffi Peters, serving up existential dread in the most singable way.

The accompanying video mirrors that tension beautifully—starting with soft-focus yearning before spiraling into a dreamy descent of dark romantic obsession. It’s like watching a fairytale unravel in slow motion.

X My Heart is the first glimpse of what’s to come on their upcoming album, ‘Beauty Fades, Pain Lasts Forever’, which drops August 1 via Kanine Records. You can preorder it now on limited edition pink vinyl, because yes, it looks as good as it sounds.

Following their 2023 album ‘Supercrush’, this new record marks a fresh era for Blush. Core members Soffi Peters (vocals) and Daniel Pei (bass) have teamed up with guitarist Darell Laser (of mathy emo trio Forests), while their longtime producer and guitarist Jared Lim (Sobs) is back behind the board and in the mix.

As always, the band brings that signature Singapore indie scene collaboration magic. With contributions from Peters, Laser, and Lim, you can hear the crossover vibes of Sobs’ candy-coated hooks and Forests’ emotional crunch throughout ‘Beauty Fades, Pain Lasts Forever’. From the insanely catchy X My Heart to the chaotic finale Swallowing 999999 Needles (featuring a full-on screamfest from Laser), this might be Blush’s most dynamic and daring record yet.

And hey—they’re hitting the road in August! Blush just announced a North American tour, with their first-ever shows in Canada and along the U.S. east coast. They’ll be joined by rising Chicago shoegaze outfit sunshy on all dates, plus South Korean-via-Colorado dream pop solo act Precocious Neophyte on the west coast run. Definitely a dream bill. Tickets are available here.
