Two decades on and still firing on all cylinders — Maxïmo Park are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their game-changing debut album ‘A Certain Trigger’ with a massive UK tour in 2026 and a deluxe reissue dropping October 31st.
The Mercury Prize-nominated record first landed in 2005 and instantly carved out its own corner of the indie landscape, delivering iconic singles like Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti, and Going Missing. Where others chased the mid-2000s guitar-band boom, Maxïmo Park were the sharp, bookish outsiders — fusing punk energy with pop smarts and landing, unexpectedly, on the legendary Warp Records roster.
Now, the band is ready to relive that era — and give fans a fresh perspective on the album that started it all.
2026 UK Tour
Maxïmo Park will perform tracks from ‘A Certain Trigger’ alongside their greatest hits, with dates stretching across the UK. Highlights include a return to London’s O2 Academy Brixton — where the band packed out shows during their breakout years — and a hometown finale at Newcastle’s legendary O2 City Hall.

Paul Smith on 20 Years of ‘A Certain Trigger’
“Not many bands make it to a twentieth year together, so we’re having a big celebration. Compiling the archive material has been like entering a time machine — thrilling, but also a bit scary! We think the music has stood the test of time, and this tour, where we’ll revisit so many beloved songs, will be a joyful experience for us and the audience. Playing live has always been at the heart of what we do — and that exhilaration has never faded.”
