Toronto-based advertising and communications agency Elemental® has announced the release of ‘The Brief,‘ a comedic, tongue-in-cheek web series. The four-part comedy series is now available to stream in its entirety at thebriefseries.com.
Staged in-house at Elemental ‘The Brief’ stars Jesse Rath (Defiance, Being Human) and Michael Seater (Murdoch Mysteries, Life with Derek) as two mismatched interns trying to make their mark at the agency. In order to successfully pitch their newest creative brief, they will need to work through their strained relationship, and impress their quirky bosses, all while trying to wade through the cliché’s of advertising culture.
‘The Brief’ also stars David Reale (Suits, Mean Girls) and John Boylan (Being Erica, Land of the Lost) as the intern’s often challenging and always entertaining bosses. The series is co-created by award-winning filmmaker Matt Sadowski (Pretend We’re Kissing) and Elemental partner Dustin Brown, with company founder Brent Wardrop as the production’s executive producer.
“In this ever changing world of online content, Elemental strives to stay at the foreground of emerging trends,” stated Brent Wardrop, Elemental’s creative director and agency head. “As one of the first original scripted content productions to be created, written and produced all in-house by an advertising firm, ‘The Brief’ highlights Elemental’s unmatched ability to reach beyond traditional advertising.”
