Los Angeles-based musician/video artist Precious Child has shared a new song and video titled Fear In The Rain. You can watch the video clip via YouTube below.
The video was shot in White Sands National Monument, and was directed and edited by the artist. Precious Child said about the video, “The song is a true story about the dizzying conjoined fear and love of my first relationship. Because of mania, control, depression and codependency it was ultimately alienating. I needed love but only possessed fear. The title of the song is a tribute to the recently deceased Rutger Hauer’s incredible monologue “Tears in Rain” from the 1979 movie Blade Runner. Against the panorama of disturbing psychedelia in my prior music videos, it’s the weirdest Precious Child music video, yet it’s actually safe for work.”
The track was produced by multiplatinum producer Ulrich Wild (Static X, Slipknot, Deftones). Fear In The Rain will be the first release from a new body of work. It follows Precious Child’s recent releases of new album ‘WHOLLOHW‘ and experimental rework ‘HALLOW‘.
Precious Child has been featured in Paper Magazine, Bloody Disgusting, New Noise Magazine, Paste, and more. Their music videos such as My Little Problem and Whole have garnered thousands of views across social media. They’ve been touring extensively over the last year, and opened their first gallery installation titled DIVINITY during the 2018 Art Basel/Miami Art Week.
