Cowboy Hunters drop ‘EPeepee’ — Five tracks of beautiful chaos

Cowboy Hunters

Glasgow’s most gloriously unhinged duo are back, and they brought a whole EP’s worth of mayhem with them.

Cowboy Hunters have released their new EP, ‘EPeepee’, and honestly? It delivers exactly what the name promises — a kind of gleeful, punishing absurdity that somehow makes total sense once you’re in it. Following earlier singles Money For Drugs, Have A Pint and Shag Slags Not Flags, ‘EPeepee’ is the sound of a band fully stepping into their own weird, wonderful world.

Across five tracks, the Glasgow duo trade vocal duties before crashing together in unison — all backed by a deliberately stripped-down bass-and-drums setup that hits harder than it has any right to. It moves between absurd humour, blunt-force social commentary and genuinely cathartic heavy moments. Messy, sharp and completely theirs.

“Exuberant rave-rock hybrid that’s messy, nihilistic and oodles of fun.” — Rolling Stone UK

“They achieve the holy grail of looking like pop stars while sounding possessed.” — Louder Than War

“It’s absurd. It makes me laugh, but the music is so weirdly aggressive it makes me want to smash something, or maybe jump into a mosh pit of clowns.” — Stereogum
