Chastity—the ever-evolving brainchild of Brandon Williams—is back with a previously unreleased b-side that hits just as hard as the emotional core of the self-titled record it was left off of. The track, Jittery, is out now and serves as a raw, buzzing companion piece to the already intense LP ‘Chastity,’ released via Deathwish Inc. (USA), Dine Alone Records (Canada), and Big Scary Monsters (UK/EU).

If you’ve been riding with Chastity since ‘Death Lust’ (2018), ‘Home Made Satan’ (2019), or ‘Suffer Summer’ (2022), you already know Williams doesn’t pull punches. But the self-titled Chastity takes things deeper—way deeper. This one’s autobiographical, rooted in lived experience, raw memory, and unfiltered emotion. It’s about youth, mental health, surviving suburbia, and the people who didn’t make it out.

Jittery zeroes in on a painfully relatable insecurity: falling for someone cooler than you, wanting to impress them, and unraveling in the process. “It’s about being in a relationship with someone cooler than you, wanting to be perceived as cool yourself, and losing your cool in the process,” Williams shares. It’s twitchy, tense, and—true to its name—feels like emotional caffeine jitters set to guitar distortion.

With three albums under his belt forming a trilogy of beautifully bleak outsider anthems, Williams approached ‘Chastity’ with brutal honesty, ditching the metaphor for a straight shot of life-as-it-is. “It’s really about the first nosedive that I did as a young person,” he says. “It’s a record about struggle, about the missing years. It’s also a thank you to some people in my life.”

If you’re in Ontario, you’ll have a chance to catch this catharsis live. Chastity’s hitting the road for a string of Canadian dates this summer:

Summer 2025 Canadian Dates

  • June 28 – Whitby Music Fest – Whitby, ON
  • July 19 – History – Toronto, ON

Watch Jittery now on YouTube, and get ready to feel everything all at once.

Chastity is for the skids. The headbangers. The freaks. The ones who made it out—and the ones still trying.
