Die Spitz drop ‘American Porn’ video — and yeah, it’s a direct hit

Die Spitz by Kyra Ganson

Austin four-piece Die Spitz have shared the video for American Porn, a blistering track off their debut album ‘Something to Consume,’ out now on Third Man Records — and it hits exactly as hard as you’d hope.

If you’ve been sleeping on Die Spitz, consider this your wake-up call. The Austin, TX rock outfit — Ava Schrobilgen, Chloe De St. Aubin, Eleanor Livingston, and Kate Halter — just dropped the video for American Porn, one of the standout cuts from their already-acclaimed debut ‘Something to Consume.’ Hot off explosive sets at Coachella and a spot on both Spotify’s Artists to Watch 2026 and Zane Lowe’s 26 for ’26, the buzz around this band is very much deserved.

The track itself? A no-holds-barred takedown of the creeps and industry sleazes that think showing up to a show to ogle the band is somehow acceptable behavior. Rolling Stone nailed it, calling it “a direct shot at sexist record industry insiders.” Vocalist Eleanor Livingston doesn’t mince words: “It’s a very angry song. And I want the people that come to our shows just because we’re pretty women or they want to sexualize or objectify us to listen to that song and tell us if they’re still a fan.” Love that energy.

‘Something to Consume’ runs deeper than just righteous punk fury, though. The album finds Die Spitz channeling politics, addiction, love, and identity into something both visceral and weirdly cathartic. The band swap instruments and share songwriting and vocal duties throughout, which gives the record an unpredictable, kinetic energy — like anything could happen at any moment. NME called them “the most exciting new rock band on the planet,” and after one listen to this album, it’s hard to argue.
