Fuzz, Psych & First Times: Earth Tongue hit the US this May with ‘Dungeon Vision’

New Zealand heavy-psych duo Earth Tongue are touching down in the US this May for their most ambitious run of shows yet — including their first ever East Coast dates. Fresh off the release of their third album ‘Dungeon Vision’ on In The Red Records, Gussie Larkin and Ezra Simons are bringing the full sonic weight of their Ty Segall-produced record to stages across the country, with Denver three-piece Pink Fuzz along for the ride.

Following a well-received debut US run in fall 2025, the Berlin-based duo wrote ‘Dungeon Vision’ off the back of a packed European and UK touring summer, then flew to Los Angeles to lay it down with garage-rock icon Ty Segall — a collaboration that grew naturally after Earth Tongue supported him on tour through New Zealand and Europe. The result is fuzz-drenched, psych-folk-tinged, and very much built for the live room.

The tour kicks off May 10 at the Bug Jar in Rochester, NY, swings through Queens, Boston, Philly, DC, and down through the South before looping back through the Midwest and into Colorado. Highlights include a stop at The Blue Room in Nashville (yes, that’s Third Man Records territory) and an appearance at Deathslope Festival at Mesa Theater in Grand Junction, CO. They’ll also return to Colorado in August for the Field of Vision Festival in Buena Vista.

Not that they needed more validation, but Earth Tongue took home “Best Group” at the 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards — a nod to just how hard they’ve been going. The press has been equally effusive:

Saucer-eyed mysticism and granite riffs on a Ty Segall-produced LP… Segall brings density without excess distortion as the duo balance Iron Man-in-neon-boots heaviness and witching hour psych-folk.” — MOJO

It’s in the ballpark of Osees or a lesser legged King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard… Gussie Larkin’s voice recalls that of Lori S. from Acid King.” — The Quietus

…the best work of their career. Seek this one out. You will be blown away.” — New Noise
