The Halfways release new track ‘Not All Are To Be Trusted’ from upcoming EP

The Halfways

The Halfways recently released a new single Not All Are To Be Trusted, which is lifted from their upcoming debut EP that’s due out in January 2016. Work on the EP was begun with the help of White Denim frontman James Petralli, but unfortunately, due to lineup changes within his own band, he had to drop out and the EP was self-produced. More about The Halfways? The Halfways are a psychedelic rock quartet from Austin, Tx that employs elements of various musical styles to create a unique mixture: Imageful Psychedelia.

Funk, folk rock, baroque pop, jazz, and grunge are some of the genres that seep into the band’s songs. Their live sound is characterized by energetic performances featuring rich sonic textures, vocal harmonies, unusual song structures and strong usage of dynamics and tempo changes. The band, which started out as the solo project of main songwriter Daniel Fernandez, has been in the Austin music scene for one year and aims to release their full-band debut EP in January 2016 (self-titled).
