German pop legend NENA is making her long-awaited return to the UK this October with two exclusive live shows—her first on British soil in 15 years. Fans can catch her at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (October 11) and Manchester’s O2 Ritz (October 12) for what promises to be unforgettable nights of music and connection.

NENA first skyrocketed onto the global stage in 1983 with the iconic hit 99 Luftballons (and its English version 99 Red Balloons), a song that became one of the defining anthems of the decade. Since then, she’s carved out a remarkable solo career spanning four decades, selling over 25 million records and securing her status as the most successful German pop singer in chart history.

But a NENA concert is more than just a greatest-hits set. Known for her electric stage presence and unmistakable voice, she brings her expansive catalogue to life alongside her powerhouse 10-piece band. Expect big energy, deep emotion, and plenty of moments to sing, dance, and celebrate together.

The tour’s title, WIR GEHÖREN ZUSAMMEN (We Belong Together), sums it all up. As NENA herself explains: “It’s a wave of love that builds and grows stronger. I feel this with a new powerful intensity… We sing, dance, laugh, and celebrate life. ‘We belong together’ is a simple message that we carry out into the world together.”

Her most recent album, ‘Licht,’ captures that same spirit—an energetic pop record that radiates optimism and heart. Blending acoustic warmth with shimmering synths, the album is a soundtrack for fresh starts, resilience, and joy.

For longtime fans and new listeners alike, these shows are a rare chance to experience one of pop’s true icons in an intimate UK setting. Don’t miss it.
