Seattle’s underground gets a fresh jolt of voltage as Flesh Produce drop their new release Liquid Chrome, out now via CorpoRAT Records.
Born out of creative burnout (the best kind), Flesh Produce began in 2018 when Karl Fagerstrom ditched the rules altogether. Tired of playing it straight in conventional bands, he started building beats from scratch with zero formal experience—just instinct, curiosity, and a love for weird sounds. Sampling, breaking things, glitching them back together. No blueprint, no permission.
Enter Myla Profitt. Once the two connected, Flesh Produce fully took shape—less a band, more a shared experiment in controlled chaos. The duo’s chemistry is immediate and unapologetic, churning out tracks that feel both reckless and intentional. Their sound has been tagged as everything from “chaotic, glitchy, breakneck-speed noise punk” to “ambient filth”—and honestly, both fit.
Liquid Chrome leans hard into that sweet spot where distortion meets dance energy. Think warped electronics, blown-out beats, and vocals that cut through the noise like sparks off metal. It’s abrasive, catchy, messy, and thrilling—music that feels like it might short-circuit your speakers (in a good way).
RIYL: electroclash, 8-bit, alternative, noise, glitch-core
FFO: Crystal Castles, Mindless Self Indulgence, Le Tigre, Pixel Grip
Liquid Chrome is FCC clean, but sonically filthy—in the best possible sense. Plug in, turn it up, and let the noise wash over you.
