Polish Club go rock n’ blues in new video ‘Able’

Polish Club

Aussie punk duo, Polish Club have shared the video for their track Able. With John-Henry orchestrating every tap and thrash in synchronized rhythm, Novak croons and swells in the toil of lost love. The video highlights the monochromatic color scheme and seemingly-simple progressions that lead into a burst of emotion and raw, untamed passion. With every line Polish Club delivers, you’ll find yourself asking “what if I was able?” Check it out via YouTube below.

One guitar. One voice. One drum kit — frequently bloodied, sometimes broken. The modest tools can only begin to tell the story of Polish Club, the sweat-soaked Aussie soul-punk duo with a heart-wringing knack for ass-kicking rock tunes and a gift for burning down every room they play.

“I think our strength is in the limitations of the two-piece band,” says drummer, John Henry. “When you’ve only got guitar and drums, you can’t just… play. You’ve got to give more. Physically.”

As the blood on his knuckles attests, that’s the way it goes when he and singer-guitarist Novak hit the decks. That’s both on stage, where they’ve left a simmering throng of devotees dripping and spent across their home continent, and on the prolific run of pulse-palpitating singles that have kicked holes in polite company since Able announced a garage revolution.

Polish Club opened for well-known energetic outfits like Courtney Barnett and Gang of Youths, indicating their status and abilities as a power-forward noisey duo.

After legal distribution restrictions limiting soul-punk rockers Polish Club from releasing their music outside of Australia, the duo are headed to the US. for their first ever American tour. In hype of the tour, Polish Club released a double A-side featuring the rock track Beeping and Able.
