BOYTOY premiered a new single, TV Dreams, lifted from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut EP, due out May 13 via PaperCup Music. Take a listen to the track below via Soundcloud.
After taking their high-octane live show down to Austin for the SXSW Music Conference, BOYTOY, featuring Saara Untracht Oakner and Glenn Van Dyke on vocals & guitar, with Matty Beans on drums will be previewing the record in New York City every Thursday in April at Niagara (10pm), starting this week. BOYTOY recorded the record with Chris McLaughlin at his 1867 Studio in Chelsea, MA.
Untracht-Oakner and Van Dyke formed BOYTOY in 2013 after the demise of their respective former bands (You Can Be A Wesley & Beast Make Bomb), after a 2am jam session was a success. They have been a regular on the New York indie scene since, building a loyal local following, releasing their first single, Visits, recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, last fall.
